Hello from your friends at Superior Window Cleaning. We have some exciting news to share concerning new technology using Waterfed Window cleaning.

Below are some bullet points on what this system is, how it works, and the advantages of using this system.

What is Waterfed Window Cleaning?

Waterfed window cleaning is the modern method of cleaning windows. It combines purified water with a telescopic pole and brush. Purified water gets pushed through and up a telescoping “water fed” pole. The brush agitates the dirt and grime on the glass surface. When completed the correct way, the glass and frames dry spot free.

How do you get Pure water?

A pure water system can be as basic as a DI tank or as advanced as a multi-stage RO/DI machine. Both will provide pure water and each method will get you to a TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) of 0.

TDS?

"Total Dissolved Solids," which refers to any minerals, salts, metals, cations, or anions dissolved in water. When referring to TDS, we mean the overall quality and how hard (or soft) your water is. The lower the TDS, the softer water you have, and a higher TDS means the harder your water is.

Is this different than Tap Water?

Normal tap water, without treatment or filtration, will result in the glass appearing to have a milky white residue. This is the result of the mineral content of tap water. Pure water automatically absorbs the dirt. Meaning, pure water or water without any mineral content, leaves windows perfectly clear once dry. Across the country, water quality TDS readings fluctuate from 0 up to 1,000 or more.

How do we filter the water?

We use a multi stage purification system that consists of Carbon Sediment Filtration, Reverse Osmosis, and Deionization Resin.

How to determine the TDS?

We have TDM meters that give a digital readout of TDS before filtration and after.

Additional Benefits:

Safety

Ladders pose a hazard to window cleaners with a number of injuries and even deaths attributed to them. With the use of waterfed poles, the user can clean windows up to 90 feet high with the operator’s feet planted safely on the ground. With waterfed poles, ladders and scaffolds can, in most cases, be completely eliminated.

Efficiency

A water fed pole system can reduce the project time while still creating the same flawless, smudge-free results you have come to expect. The windows and frames can be cleaned at the same time. Detergents and other soaps are eliminated which also makes this an environmentally friendly process.

Convenience

Pure water technology allows for enhanced results and minimal inconvenience to our customers. This technology reduces equipment such as ladders to set up and operate. It maintains privacy and reduces the risk of disturbances for you and it keeps our ladders out of your flowerbeds.

Summary

This technology is part of our complete system for caring for your home or business’ exterior. We have invested in the Waterfed Window Cleaning technology filtration systems, waterfed poles, and our technicians are trained in the application. We are excited about the ability to use new technology to make our work more convenient for you without sacrificing quality in all of our service offerings.
